This website features Baroque'n'Roll, a historical music and dance group, and Clifton, a private museum showing early twentieth century life. Both these enterprises were created and are now managed by Dawn Purkiss, actor, social historian and lecturer.

Baroque'n'Roll is a company of distinguished dancers, actors and musicians who will transport you through five centuries of our musical and social history in a sparkling cavalcade of costume, dance and drama, from the Renaissance through to the 1940's.

Clifton museum tells the story of ordinary people and their lives from the turn of the last centruy to the outbreak of the Second World War.
